
In common with several other species, this plant in
known only from
cultivation and has never been found in the wild.
It has powdery white, 30in (75 cm) stems with proportionally large
(4-8in/10-20cm long) deep green leaves with variable cream stripes.
The leaf sheaths have purple interiors and downy exteriors.
Position: Sunny, Semi-Shaded
Cultivation: Most species are not difficult to cultivate.
Plant in loose, moist, well-drained soil in sun or part-shade and
water well in summer.
Running species need to be contained.
