Indigenous to southern and eastern Africa, this genus consists of 6
species of tuberous perennials characterized by the classic
lily-shape of their flowers. They comprise an enfolding spathe
shaped like a funnel, with a central finger-like spadix. The leaves
are glossy green and usually arrow-shaped.

Cultivation: Mostly evergreen in warm climates, this genus includes
