
Native to Central America and the West Indies, this bushy, evergreen
woody stemmed climber is grown for its clusters of delightful
star-like, violet flowers , set among simple, elliptic,
rough-textured leaves.
It grows to a height of 20 ft (6 m) or more and needs support to
maintain its climbing habit.
Cultivation: They are best grown in light, well-drained soil in full
sun.
Propagate from seed or more commonly from cuttings. |
