This evergreen, woody-stemmed climber comes from tropical Thunbergia mysorensis, mountains in the south of India
It reaches 20 ft (6 m) and has narrow green leaves. The pendent flower spikes are a cheerful combination of brownish red and yellow, and appear from spring to fall (autumn).
Cultivation: They will grow in any reasonably rich soil with adequate drainage. Full sun is preferred, except during the summer months, when part-shade and liberal water should be provided.
