Found in Reunion in mesothermic forests at elevations of 800 to 2000 meters as a warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect to curved, simple to branched, basally rooting stem carrying towards the apex of the stem, rigid, dark green, lanceoalte, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, slender, single flowered [although there is always an aborted second one that never arises from the bract] inflorescence.
