A small to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphytic species found on the islands of Madagascar and the Mascarenes in forests near the ground at elevations of 200 to 1400 meters with a arching to pendant, flattened, branched stem carrying numerous, distichous, oblong-lanceolate leaves that blooms in late summer on a short inflorescence and carrying a solitary pure white, rather fleshy flower.
