Common Name or Meaning The Blooming Fleetingly Calanthe

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Sumatra and Borneo in montane forests at elevations of 2100 to 2400 meteres as a medium szied, cool growing terrestrial with close set pseudobulbs carrying 3 to4, plicate, lanceolate, acute, acuminate, 7 to 9 nerved, gradually anrrowing below into the 4.8" [12 cm] long, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, finely pubescent, to 25.2" [to 63 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with narrowly ovate-lanceolate, shortly pubescent floral bracts.
