Occuring in the Organ mountains of Rio de Janiero and Parana' States, Brazil on leeward slopes along streams at elevations of 1070 to 1220 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with light green, powdery pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect, spreading leaves and blooms in the late summer, fall and winter on a basal, 12 to 18"+ [30 to 45 cm+] long, flexuous, several to many flowered [12 to 18] inflorescence that arises on a newly matured pseudobulb
