Found in Haiti and the Dominican Republic on small thorny shrubs as a medium to just large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with imbricate, to 6, arranged in a fan, distichous, thick, triangular in cross-section, carinate, rigid, arcuate, oblong-lanceolate, acute, denticulate leaves that blooms at most any time of the year except the hottest part of the summer on a lateral, erect, slender, terete, simple to few branched, to 24" [60 cm] long, distally lax few to several flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, acute floral bracts.
