Common Name or Meaning The Thin & Narrow Oncidium [refers to the narrow midlobe of the lip]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Bolivia aat elevations of 1800 to 2200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with narrowly ovate to slightly pear-shaped, laterally compressed, roundly ancipitous, a distinct longitudinal midline torus on each side pseudobulb enveloped partially below by 2 pairs of opposite leafless and leafbearing, conduplicate sheaths and carrying 2 apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms on an axillary, erect, peduncle short, paniculate, rachis 10 to 15 branched, spreading, many flowered inflorescence with each branch carrying 2 twigs carrying a single fertile, faintly fragrant flower and numerous abortive [sterile] flowers
