Common Name Riogrande Oncidium [A Brazilian State]

Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]

Found in Southern Brazil and NE Argentina as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with elongate elliptical to cylindrical smooth pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by a few pairs of dry, thin, leafless bracts and carrying 2 apical, narrowly elliptic, acute, shortly condplicate below into the petiole-like base that blooms in the fall on an axillary, ascending to arcuate spreading, paniculate, short, slender, arching, branched, 12" + [30 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb through the dry sheath .
