Common Name The Palenque River Oncidium

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Ecuador at elevations around 20 to 1080 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovoid, flattened pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a few pairs of leaf bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear, acute, becoming conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an axillary, erect then arching, 30" [75 cm] long, paniculate, each fractiflex branch less than 2" and carrying 1 to 2 fertile flowers, sevral flowered inflorescence
