Common Name Silvano's Oncidium [Original Discoverer of Species Current]

Flower Size 3/4" [2.1 cm]

Found in Peru at elevations around 1800 meters as a large sized, erect, warm to cool growing epiphyte with narrowly elliptioc, ovoid, or broadly elliptical, strongly laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by 2 to 3, imbricating sheaths and carrying 2, apical, thinly leathery, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing and folding into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the spring [northern hemisphere] on a 59" [150 cm] long, paniculate, axillary, arching then pendant, to 15, short branched inflorescence with branches that may have shorter branches and all carrying only 1 to 2 normal, scentless flowers and also 1 to 2 abortive flowers.
