Common Name Widgren's Oncidium [Swedish Plant Collector 1800's]

Found in southeastern Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina in cool moist montane forests and drier, warm savannahs at elevations of 200 to 400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, thicker in the middle pseudobulbs and carrying a single, rigid, acute, narrowly oblong leaf that blooms in the summer on a basal, slender, suberect to nodding, racemose to paniculate, several flowered inflorescence arising on a matured pseudobulb.
