Common Name Liem's Paphiopedilum [Chinese Orchid Collector in Indonesia]

Found only in North Sumatra at elevations of 840 to 885 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial or lithophyte on vertical limestone cliffs and on the ground in humus around them with several growths together each stem carrying dark green above and red speckled beneath, ciliate margins, narrowly oblong, obtuse, basally clasping leaves that blooms on a 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, dark brown, successively 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence carrying an elliptic, obtuse, ciliate, green spotted crimson floral bract with .8 to 1.2" between each flower
