A fall and winter blooming, small sized, Bornean and Sumatran, warm to cool growing herbaceous humus epiphyte found in shady pockets of leaf litter over limestone at elevations of 1000 to 1800 meters with oblong-elliptic, deep green mottled with gray green leaves with purple undersides and blooms on an erect, terminal, 12 to 15" [30 to 37.5 cm] long, purple marked inflorescence with an elli[ptic-lanceolate floral bract that carries a single flower.
