
This erect, slender, deciduous subshrub with wiry, nea r-leafless
green stems is a native of Mexico.
It is grown for the clusters of handsome red flowers it bears all
year round, set among tiny, green leaves.
Fast growing, it is well suited to spilling over a wall, or as a
seaside specimen.
It grows to a height and spread of just under 3 ft (1 m).
Flowering colors: Red and yellow
Cultivation: These plants prefer full sun and humus-rich, light,
well-drained soil.
Propagate from cuttings or by dividing rooted layers.
